Handbasket Travel Ventures

The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin?  As an infant, I am told I was a projectile vomiter nonpareil.  At the age of two, I supposedly chugged an unattended beer that had been placed on a coffee table.  I do not remember this event.  Sometime during early childhood, I became enamored with the concept of perfection, at which point I began to insist that whoever was reading stories to me return to the first page of the book if they mispronounced a word.  Remarkably, I was not fed into a chipper-shredder, though it occurs to me now that my parents did not own a chipper-shredder at the time.

I was a short, fat, bespectacled, braces-wearing gifted student during my middle school years.  My people did not fare well in middle school, and it's not something I like to think about.  In fact, let's never discuss this again.  Following a high school career during which the car I drove was more recognizable than I was, I attended a liberal arts college outside of NYC, where I began to develop my dork skills.  I then obtained advanced dork degrees at a prominent research institution in the South.

Though I once hoped to change the world for the better, I now strive not to be eaten alive by it.  The latter has proven more difficult than I ever supposed the former might be.
